the complete works of william shakespeare (abridged)
How is Shakespeare’s work relevant to us today?
Shakespeare's work is relevant because he created most of the human language. He had his own slang that is different now but a lot of the words we use today are because of him. How can we make Shakespeare more appealing to everyone? I don't think we can make it more appealing but I think that if someone were to see one of his plays performed, that they would most likely be drawn to Shakespeare and other plays. How does creating drama for an audience make us more able to communicate with others? I feel that if we can speak in front of an audience, that we can speak to someone one on one. It doesn't really matter how large the audience is, you still don't know who is looking at you and you are still speaking in front of them even if you aren't talking to them. What did you like most about this project? The thing I liked most about this was every time we performed. Before and after the actual play. It's fun to be someone else even if you and your character are alike. Also, during the whole process, we all bonded together and worked together. What did you like least about this project? The thing I didn't like most was, even though it helped a lot, I didn't like being on book for as long as I was because it got very irritating when I would have to read off the most simple of lines. I was on book for about 2 and a half weeks then I let someone else do it but they got tired of it so I went back on book. Overall, I did it to help my teacher. What (if anything) would YOU have done differently with this project (planning, group communication, your seminar productivity)? I would've worked more with just the people that needed help with their lines because the last time we rehearsed it, the night of the play, few people couldn't get their lines without it being read off to them. |
